Profile

Dr Wong Chiung Ing is a Senior Consultant, Medical Oncologist at Parkway Cancer Centre. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of adult cancers with a special interest in breast and gynecological cancers.

She received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, and completed her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at various teaching hospitals in England, culminating in Membership to the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK).

Before leaving for private practice in 2011, Dr Wong was a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the National University Hospital (NUH) where she pursued her training and achieved Specialist Accreditation with the Singapore Ministry of Health.

Dr Wong has been actively involved in clinical and translational research, particularly first-in-human clinical trials exploring novel therapies for patients with cancer. She has presented and published her work in internationally renowned high-impact journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, the official journal of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, where she is also a member.

Her commitment to research and patient care has been recognised through the receipt of various awards, including the National Healthcare Group Researcher Investigator Scientist Enabler Grant and the Excellent Service Gold Award (EXSA Gold) from SPRING Singapore. Dr Wong takes pride in her contribution to public education and post-graduate training for doctors. She has been invited to present at numerous public symposia in Singapore and regionally.
