CanHOPE Celebrates 19 Years of Hope, Healing & Support

CanHOPE celebrates its mission of caring for cancer patients worldwide, with a steadfast commitment to connection, compassion, and healing beyond medicine.
In October 2025, CanHOPE marked its 19th anniversary with a heartfelt dinner celebration held at Straits Kitchen, Grand Hyatt Singapore. The evening brought together Parkway Cancer Centre (PCC) doctors, and staff, as well as members from CanHOPE’s regional offices, to celebrate the shared purpose, teamwork, and compassion in cancer care.
More than just a dinner, the evening was a tribute to the people who make CanHOPE’s mission possible, and a moment to reflect on how far the network has come and the many lives it continues to touch across borders.
AN EVENING OF CONNECTION AND APPRECIATION
The programme opened with a welcome address by Dr Ang Peng Tiam, Medical Director of PCC, who expressed his deep appreciation for the commitment and empathy shown by CanHOPE’s teams in the region. He reaffirmed the shared purpose that unites the community, to walk alongside every patient with compassion and care, from diagnosis to recovery and beyond.
Guests then enjoyed a sumptuous buffet dinner featuring Straits Kitchen’s signature local delights. The warm ambience set the stage for relaxed networking and heartfelt conversations among all. To commemorate the milestone, group photos of regional teams taken in their respective countries were shared, allowing everyone to celebrate together in spirit despite the distance.
CELEBRATING TEAMWORK AND SHARED PURPOSE
Laughter and camaraderie filled the room as stories and memories were exchanged. Earlier in the day, members of CanHOPE’s regional offices had participated in video recordings to share personal reflections on their work.
With representatives flying in from more than 15 cities, the heartfelt sharing reflected the very essence of CanHOPE —unity in patient care across cultural and regional diversity.
CANHOPE TODAY AND BEYOND
As CanHOPE celebrates its 19th year, the non-profit service remains steadfast in providing comprehensive emotional and practical support for cancer patients and their families, regardless of where they are in the world.
What began as a support service arm of PCC has grown into a strong regional network, committed to continuously improving patient care and ensuring that every patient receives care and encouragement even after returning home. Guided by compassion and unity, CanHOPE continues to be a beacon of strength and hope, inspiring courage across borders.
