Profile

Jaime Yeo is a Counsellor at Parkway Cancer Centre. She provides psychosocial and emotional counselling support for patients and their family members. She integrates approaches such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Eye-Movement Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR) in her work with patients.

Jaime graduated with a Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling) with Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, in 2016, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore in 2010. She has completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and continues to pursue training in her area of interest in Narrative Therapy, grief, loss and trauma.

Jaime has counselling experiences in oncology and educational settings. Prior to that, she worked in healthcare settings including government agencies as well as voluntary welfare organisations for a number of years.

Jaime is a Provisional Clinical Member with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).

Jaime was awarded Best Overall Performer for academic excellence at Graduate Diploma in Counselling (2015). She also received Apex Award for publication excellence (2012) for the intermediate and long-term care sector magazine MosAIC.

Jaime conducts talks and training on topics such as self-care, stress management and the support of cancer patients and their family members. She writes occasionally for healthcare and other publications on issues relating to the care of cancer patients and their families.
