Dr Lim ZiYi is a specialist in haemato-oncology and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He received his medical degree from the University of Edinburgh, UK and subsequently underwent specialist training in haemato-oncology at Kings College Hospital, London.
Dr Lim worked at Kings College Hospital for 9 years during which he helped develop the department into one of the largest allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplant centres in Europe. He has extensive experience in various forms of allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (including umbilical cord blood and haplo-identical transplantation) and has personally overseen the management of more than 300 bone marrow transplants since 2006.
Since his return to Singapore in 2011, Dr Lim has been a Consultant at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. He was awarded the NUHS Clinician Scientist Program Award in 2012. He was the clinical lead for the acute leukaemia service as well as the adult clinical cellular therapy service.
Dr Lim is a member of several international committees on haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and has been invited to deliver lectures on the management of acute leukaemia, as well as the use of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at many regional and international conferences
Dr Lim believes in the use of state of the art diagnostic tests together with novel treatment protocols to develop personalized treatment strategies for his patients. He has a specialist interest in the use of combined modality therapy using targeted therapeutic agents and cellular therapy for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory haematological malignancies.
