A letter from Vietnam
When I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage IV at the age of 64, doctors in Vietnam told me that they did not know how to treat it.

Fortunately, my family found out about Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore and took me there. We went straight from Changi Airport to the hospital.

Oral cancer: A growing concern

Almost 700,000 people are diagnosed with oral cancer worldwide every year and more than 50 per cent eventually die. The death rate associated with oral cancer is particularly high as the cancer is usually discovered in advanced stages.

The symptoms of oral cancer are usually painless and not noticeable to an untrained eye, so it is important to have regular oral check-ups once every six months.

As part of the holistic approach towards cancer treatment, Parkway Cancer Centre provides counseling and resource information through CanHOPE.
