PCC's new care unit

The Parkway Cancer Centre (PCC) has set up a palliative care unit, the first private hospital in Singapore to do so.

Dr Kok Jaan Yang, who heads PCC's palliative care service, said that this allowed patients who have been diagnosed with terminal cancer to have continuity with Parkway. "The primary medical oncologist who has been treating the patient will be involved all the way to the end. Continuity reduces stress and anxiety for patients," he said.
